Reference: 2026-24Organization: CCBRTLocation: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania CCBRT is seeking a qualified Quality and Safety Officer to support the Quality Assurance Department in strengthening quality management systems, improving patient safety, and enhancing healthcare service delivery. The successful candidate will play a key role in implementing quality improvement initiatives, conducting clinical audits, and promoting continuous improvement across the hospital. Key Responsibilities Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS). Lead and support the implementation of 5S, Kaizen, Total Quality Management (TQM), and Lean initiatives. Define and integrate quality management processes into the Hospital Management Information System (HMIS). Conduct internal quality training sessions and awareness programs for staff. Support the Quality Assurance Department in implementing quality structures and processes across nursing and midwifery services. Conduct internal quality audits and follow up on audit findings. Prepare quality reports and support complaint management processes related to service quality. Facilitate scientific problem-solving and continuous quality improvement initiatives. Monitor compliance with the organization's Quality Improvement Plan (QIP). Assess documentation, identify quality gaps, and provide capacity building to staff. Support departments in developing, reviewing, and updating policies, procedures, guidelines, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Plan and conduct annual quality-related training programs. Collect and analyze client feedback and prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly quality reports. Provide training and support to teams based on customer feedback and quality improvement needs. Coordinate internal Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) assessments. Conduct nursing and clinical audits to improve service quality and patient safety. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in General Nursing, Midwifery, Psychiatric Nursing, or Nursing Administration. At least 6 years of clinical experience. Experience working in a Quality Assurance or Quality Improvement unit is an added advantage. Strong clinical knowledge and patient care experience. Experience as a trainer, coach, or mentor for healthcare professionals. Ability to mobilize and lead multidisciplinary teams. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience conducting clinical and nursing audits. Computer literacy. Good written and spoken English and Swahili. Flexible, proactive, eager to learn, and able to manage multiple responsibilities.
