About the role
JOB ROLE
- We are looking for a dynamic and technically competent Technical Sales Executive to develop and expand our Mining & Laboratory business across Geita, Mwanza and surrounding mining regions.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting and selling laboratory instruments, analytical equipment, mining sample preparation equipment, chemicals, reagents, consumables and laboratory glassware to mining companies, assay laboratories and mineral testing facilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
- BSc in Chemistry / Analytical Chemistry
- Metallurgy / Mineral Processing
Chemical & Process Engineering
- Laboratory Science / Technology
- Geology / Mining Engineering
- Or a related scientific discipline
EXPERIENCE
Minimum 3 years relevant experience
- Experience in Mining / Gold Assay Laboratory / Mineral Testing Laboratory / Scientific Equipment Sales preferred
- Previous exposure to mining customers in Geita / Mwanza will be an added advantage
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE
- Knowledge or familiarity with:
- Fire Assay & Gold Analysis
- AAS / XRF / ICP
Sample Preparation Equipment
Crushers, Pulverizers & Furnaces
Laboratory Chemicals & Reagents
Glassware & Laboratory Consumables
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop new mining and laboratory customers
- Conduct regular customer and mine-site visits
- Generate leads and build a strong sales pipeline
- Prepare quotations and technical/commercial proposals
- Follow up quotations and convert opportunities into orders
- Handle RFQs and tender opportunities
- Conduct product presentations and demonstrations
- Maintain strong relationships with Laboratory Managers, Chemists, Metallurgists, Geologists and Procurement Teams
- Achieve assigned monthly and annual sales targets
- Provide regular sales and market reports
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Strong B2B sales and business development skills
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Technical understanding of laboratory applications
- Strong customer follow-up and order-conversion ability
- Good English and Swahili communication
- Willingness to travel extensively within mining regions
- Valid Driving Licence will be an added advantage
